Research Department- Assistant Technician
Temporary Full Time from mid-September to early November
Job Description
-
Collect field labels and bagging soybean seed on combine during harvest.
-
Threshing soybean plants with a motorized plant thresher.
-
Lifting and collecting soybean seed bags from field to the seed storage.
-
Organize harvest material/tools/equipment/ each morning.
-
Cut soybean plants using manual or motorized soybean plant cutters
Working Conditions
-
Long working hours 12 – 14hrs including weekends (weather permitting)

Outside work in hot or cold weather, must have work clothes and steel toe shoes/boots.

Due to location, lunches are eaten at the job site.

Physically demanding work. Long hours of standing and walking.

Heavy lifting required on occasions.

Dusty work environment.
Skills Required

Punctuality is a must.

Good attitude and willingness to work hard.

Must have transportation to Hendrick Seeds office located in Inkerman.

Previous harvesting experience an asset.
-
An interest in agriculture would be an asset.
